Safer, faster roads start with shared information
MapsBox exists so the people who manage, patrol, drive and respond on US roads can work from the same live picture of what is happening.
Mission
One current record instead of five conflicting ones
Road conditions change faster than the systems that describe them. A crash is known to the patrol officer, the dispatcher and the driver behind it long before it appears anywhere an agency can publish it.
We build the shared layer in between: a live incident record that operators can keep accurate, and that maps, apps and other systems can read.
- Operations console
Where operators create, update and clear incidents.
- Live map
The network at a glance, colored by severity.
- AI report intake
Plain-English messages turned into structured incidents.
- Public API
JSON and GeoJSON for your own tools.
Principles
How we make decisions
- Reliability first
Operators rely on the map during incidents. We would rather ship fewer features than a console that is wrong or slow when it matters.
- Privacy by design
We collect what we need to run the service, use one essential cookie, and run no advertising or analytics trackers. Details are in the Privacy policy.
- Open map data
Our maps are built on OpenStreetMap data and open-source rendering, and we credit both on every map.
- Built with operators
The workflows come from how traffic centers, dispatch desks and field crews actually work, and we change them when they tell us we got it wrong.
Working with agencies
Start small, then roll out
Most agencies begin with one team and one set of roads. The path from there is up to you.
- 01
Try it
Start a 14-day trial workspace, or ask us for a demo configured for your region.
- 02
Pilot
Pick a corridor or a district, invite the operators who will use it and compare it with what you do today.
- 03
Roll out
Add seats and roads, connect the API to your own systems and choose a plan that fits.
