Terms of service
These terms apply when you create an account or use MapsBox. By doing so on behalf of an organization, you confirm you are allowed to accept them for that organization.
Accounts
Give accurate details, keep your password and API tokens secret, and tell us if you think they have been exposed. You are responsible for activity under your workspace, including by teammates you invite and the roles you give them.
Trial and plans
New workspaces start with a 14-day free trial that includes 3 seats and 10,000 API calls per month. When the trial ends the workspace becomes read-only until it moves to a paid plan. Plans, prices and limits are listed on the pricing page. We agree billing details with you before any charge applies, and plan changes are made on request.
Acceptable use
- Do not submit false or misleading incident information.
- Do not attempt to access other workspaces or interfere with the service.
- Do not exceed or work around plan limits, rate limits or bot protection.
- Do not use the service for unlawful activity.
We may suspend access that breaks these rules or puts the service at risk.
Your data
You own the incident data and other content your workspace submits. You give us permission to store, process and display it as needed to run the service for you, and we use it for nothing else. How personal data is handled is described in the Privacy policy.
Road information is not an emergency service
Incident information in MapsBox comes from users and may be incomplete, delayed or wrong. It is provided as is and is not a substitute for official traffic control, signage, law enforcement, or emergency services. Do not rely on it for decisions where safety is at stake, and call 911 in an emergency. AI-parsed reports are drafts that a person should confirm.
Availability
We work to keep the service running but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error free. An uptime commitment applies only where a written agreement for the Business or Enterprise plan provides one.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, MapsBox is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data, revenue or profit, arising from use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the three months before the claim arose.
Termination
You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to close your workspace. We may suspend or end access for serious or repeated breaches of these terms. When a workspace is closed we will delete its data on request.
Changes
We may update these terms. We will change the date above and tell account holders about material changes in the console. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
